Uganda: Buganda Triumphs

Kampala — Buganda 2, Swaziland 0. USPA 2, Mengo XI 0. A goal in either half were enough to secure Buganda victory in a friendly match against Swaziland at Namboole yesterday.

Cranes striker Andrew Mukasa put Buganda in the lead after a good combination with Majid Musisi and Jamil Kyambadde. Before a scanty crowd led by the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Mutebi II and Nnaabagereka Sylivia Nagginda, Richard Kirumira put the game beyond the visitors' reach after 63 minutes to the relief of the fans.

The win, however was a hard fought tussle for Buganda, who looked disjointed especially on the counter. The pace for the showdown was set by a scribes' 2-0 thrash of a select Buganda cabinet team. Kenneth Matovu and Hassan Kirunda scored for the USPA team.
