Nigeria: Kwankwaso Wants More Kano Indigenes in Police Force

Abuja — Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state, has called for the recruitment of more Kano State indigenes into the Nigeria Police Force.

Kwankwaso, who expressed appreciation for the commitment of officers and men of the state police command which according to him led to the drastic reduction of crime in the state also appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Musiliu Smith to give special consideration in manpower distribution considering its high population density.

The governor made the call while exchanging views of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Musiliu Smith who paid him a courtesy visit.

Speaking earlier, the Inspector General of Police, Musiliu Smith who was in Kano state to appraise the ongoing Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police's (ASPs) and Inspectors' training programme at Police Academy Wudil, Kano, commended that governor and the people of the state for their support to the officers and men of the command and promised that the force will not relent in its efforts to serve the society better.
