Nigeria: Traditional Ruler Accuses Police of Aiding Eddy Nawgu

Lagos — The traditional ruler of Nawgu community in Anambra State, Igwe Gabriel Nwegwu has alleged that the police aided the late spiritualist, Edward Okeke alias Eddy Nawgu in his unholy activities in the community.

Nwegwu told the Justice Frank Nwizu Judicial Commission of f Inquiry sitting in Awka that Eddy Nawgu had the strong backing of the Anambra State police command who, he alleged, helped the prophet in covering his ritual and other dubious practices in the area.
