Bouake, Cote d'Ivoire — Clashes were reported late
Tuesday between the Ivorian police and gendarmes, on one hand,
and a group of traditional hunters from the north, known as
"dozos" on the other, at Bouake, some 400-km from the nation's
commercial capital Abidjan.
PANA gathered that a group of about 20 "dozos" meeting in
their leader's residence near the security forces location, was
said to have opened fire on the security forces who wanted to
disperse the meeting.
