Lagos — A Lagos female cleric has lambasted Christian leaders, flirting around President Olusegun Obasanjo, describing them as only interested in contracts and others things they could get from him.

Evangelist Helen Apabio of the Liberty Gospel Church, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, said President Olusegun Obasanjo is not a born again Christian and has never hidden that fact and wondered while some Christian leaders are in the habit of always flirting around him.

According to the notable film maker, the President has never hidden the fact that he is not born again and does not belong to a Bible believing church.

"How could one say that the man is a born again Christian with the wives and concubines, delivering children for him all over the place?", Evangelist Apabio, who was a guest of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Channel 10, Lagos, at the weekend, argued.

She said she was into films to use the medium to further propagate the Gospel.

On why she uses unbelievers to play roles in her films and not strictly her church members, she remarked: "We use our members for those roles suitable for believers. My members cannot play such roles as love making or even going naked. So, we use unbelievers for such acts."
