Addis Ababa — A Women's Affairs Bureau representative in Gambella has disclosed
that the tradition of inheriting wives of a deceased family member by
bereaved brothers has increased the incidence of HIV/AIDS in the
region.
Woizero Awili, head of the Gambella Women's Affairs Bureau told
Efoyta newspaper that men have the cultural right to marry as many
wives as they want.
