Addis Ababa — Six political parties in Ethiopia said the recent peace agreement
signed in Algiers between Ethiopia and Eritrea did not guarantee the
national interest of the country and would not bring about a lasting
peace.
Organizers of the meeting held last Sunday at the Meskel Square said
the government is executing what they called its "hidden agenda"
without popular consent and they wanted to stop that.
