Uganda: Clash At Airport, Military Police Arrest Major Okwir

Kampala — A combined force of seven security organisations yesterday forcefully arrested Maj. Rabwoni Okwir from the VIP lounge at Entebbe Airport. The force which was led by Military Police and commanded by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) dragged and battered Okwiri amidst stiff resistance from Dr. Kizza Besigye and his supporters.

Okwir was carried mid-air by eight Military Police who knocked his head and body against a double cabin pick-up and sat on his head, buttocks and legs as they drove him to Kampala under tight security.
