Angola/Mali: Angola-Mali Share Point in 2-2 Draw

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — Angolan and Mali youth football teams Thursday shared points in an exciting and clean game which ended in a 2-2 draw at the Addis Ababa stadium.

The game was the second match of Group B in the 12th edition of the African youth championship.

Half time: 1-1.

Mali was the best side in the early stages of the game during the first half. But it was the Angolans that scored first in the 19th minute from the penalty spot.

Gracia Amaral converted the penalty with a fast volley from the dreaded spot to opening scorebook for his team.

Mali's equaliser came on the 34th minute with a powerful shot from the goal area by Djibril Sidibe. This brought the game to life as both sides made determined efforts to score. The two national youth teams missed two chances each in the last 10 minutes of the first half.

Angola was disallowed a goal on the 39th minute for offside. It took the lead once again during the second half with a shot on the 60th minute by Djibril Sidibe, his second, during a scramble at the goal mouth.

Mali equalised six minutes before time with a header by Oumar Dabo.

The game ended both Angola and Mali sharing a point, with the 2-2 draw.
