Windhoek — The first national survey on sex work in Namibia is in the pipeline
and is expected to provide pointers to Government on whether or not
to legalise sex work.
The Legal Assistance Centre (LAC) revealed on Friday it was about to
embark on a major research project of sex work in Namibia. LAC Gender
Research and Advocacy Project head Diane Hubbard said apart from the
fact that the time was ripe to revisit Namibian law and policy on sex
work, there were no national studies on sex work in the country."
