Burundi: CNDD-FDD Asks UN to Define 1965 And 1972 Killings As Genocide

The CNDD-FDD has asked the UN to "officially" state that the killings which took place in Burundi in 1965 and 1972 amounted to genocide.

In a statement issued on the 29th anniversary of the 1972 Burundi massacre, the group's spokesman, Gerome Ndiho, called on the citizens and the UN to remember Burundians who died then.
