Lesotho: City Council Honoured for Effort Towards Smoking Control

Maseru City Council (MCC) has received the World No tobacco Day 2001 Gold Medical and Certificate as a prize from the World Health Organisation's (WHO) in recognition of the Town clerk's remarkable contribution to tobacco control in his organisation and the country at large.

The award was presented to MCC by the resident Coordinator of WHO in Lesotho, Dr. Ruth Tshabalala.
