Africa: AIDS Expected to Claim 10m Southern Africans By 2015

Mbabane, Swaziland — African economies are expected to be devastated by the 10 million Aids deaths forecast for southern Africa over the next 15 years, researchers warned this week.

Researchers with the regional trade-bloc, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), said crucial human development projects are already suffering as a result of the drain on financial and other resources in southern Africa.
