The Broadcasting Council has warned radio managers against airing irresponsible and provocative comments about the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on US.
"Some of you have of late been airing programmes during which some irresponsible and provocative comments are made about the terrorist attacks in the USA" the secretary of the Council J.P. Okullu-Mura said in a statement he issued Sept.26
Okullu said that some of the comments could easily invoke bitter feeling among some communities both here and outside the country.
"The Broadcasting Council takes this as a very serious matter and therefore warns you to refrain from further airing such programs or else face the potential consequences," he said.
