Bisho — The DA in the Eastern Cape supported the US attacks on Afghanistan said DA leader in the legislature Athol Trollip.
Trollip said the attacks were well thought out and part of the consequences of "active terrorism".
He said US government's actions were well considered.
The Taliban was given "sufficient warnings" to release prime suspect Osama Bin Laden.
He said the DA supported the fight against terrorism.
However, they took note of the possibility that innocent lives could be lost during the attacks.
He said they were hoping for minimal or zero deaths.
The UDM and the PAC provincial structures refused to comment.
