Akure — The Ondo State Governor Adebayo Adefarati has blamed the failure of the Super Eagles in the just ended African Nations Cup in Mali to lack of discipline.
Governor Adefarati made the remark in Akure when he addressed the players of Sunshine Stars, the state's team in the professional league on their poor performance so far in the Pro-League.
He noted that the semi-final match between the Lions of Senegal and the Eagles was another opportunity for Nigeria to advance to the final without any hassle but stressed that, " Our players lack commitment, seriousness, dedication needed to win the match."
The Ondo number one man also blamed the technical crew for their inability to do the right thing at the right time that could produce good result for the country.
Speaking in the same vein, the governor expressed displeasure on the performance of the Sunshine Stars, regretting that the boys were being influenced by former coach.
He charged the Ondo Boys to re-double their efforts by ensuring better performance in their remaining matches so as to have better placing at the end of the season.
Chairman of the club, Charles Ajepe lauded the contribution of the governor in ensuring that the player are ably motivated and promised that the club would justify the confidence reposed in it.(ACONS)
