A joyous 10-man delegation sponsored by Total and Celtel returned home from Mali yesterday where they watched the semi-finals and final of Nations Cup 2002.
Five of them were winners in last month's nationwide Total-Celtel Promotion (Win A Trip to Mali) and three others were picked as Total customers.
The winners are Paresh Naik, Herman Sedebola (from Kyotera), Hams Mukasa (Nateete), Evan Mbaziira (Makindye) and Moses Mirundi of Kibuli SS. Edward Katende (Kinyara Sugar), Abdullah Hussein (Gateway Bus) and Evaristo Aruma (Hima Cement) are the others. Total officials Moses Mudima and Ben Kirya led the delegation.
Apart from watching Cameroon beat Senegal in Bamako last Sunday, they had a rare opportunity to meet African greats footballers Abedi Pele (Ghana) and Roger Milla (Cameroon).
The excited travellers sang praises for the sponsors of the trip and said they had had a wonderful experiences in Bamako during the 7 days.
"It was excellent, I enjoyed the football and the tournament was well organised. Mali is poorer than Uganda but they did it," Mirundi said.(ACONS)
