Monrovia — The Liberia for Jesus Crusade kicks up on Friday, February 22, with an order for all churches to close their doors this Sunday and to converge at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex to climax the national event.
The National Coordinator of the crusade, the Rev. Kortu Brown, appealing for the closure of all churches to allow various congregations to participate in the crusade, told a meeting of Montserrado and National Committees' Coordinators that the crusade, which will be characterized by moments of prayers, praise and worship choruses and confessions, will start with grand parades from Redlight, Susan Berry and the Catherine Mills/Kendeja.
According to the official program read by Rev. Brown, the parade, which starts at 8:00a.m. will end at the Sport Complex, where the formal opening ceremony will take begin at 10:00 a.m.
The schedule furthers that praise and worship choirs under the coordination of Gospel Music Ambassador Maron Cassell will be the next program, followed by a prayer of thanksgiving, confession and repentance, and prayers renouncing all national and individual satanic covenants and prayers for national leaders.
Later in the afternoon, the LFJ praise and worship team will take on the congregation, while another prayer time interceding for God's favor upon global churches, another prayer for transformation in Government, and prayers battling against all evil forces.
The period will also be used to pray for deliverance from demonic attacks, against terrorism and civil conflict, witchcraft and magic, crime and sicknesses, ritualistic killing and human sacrifices, mistreatment of women and children in Liberia, drunkenness and drug addiction and abuse of Holy Spirit Gift in the church.
In the evening, Maron Cassell's Praise and Worship Choir will take on the audience until 9:00p.m., when the crusaders will pray for unity amongst believers, divine protection upon all intercessors and God's wisdom upon all worship leaders, while they will also pray against any attempt by the enemy to infiltrate the prayer defenses and God's healing upon the land: physical, psychological and emotional.
The crusaders will also use the last hours of Friday to petition and supplicate to God for wise leaders with integrity, for mutual family relationship in the land, for sincere repentance, for care for the children and other family members and victory of the church over evil forces, as well as cleansing the church of all satanic practices and false prophets.
On Saturday, the SKD will be filled with the choruses of the praise and worship choir followed by prayers for peace and genuine love, as well as commitment to prayer and Bible study by families and single parents, prayer for security and protection in homes, and for all institutions of learning to hold. Prayers will also be provided for economic empowerment in the church, for involvement of Liberians into business and fair business dealings, for stable and rewarding international relations for protection and guidance upon all diplomatic missions and for any other local need and condition.
The evening session will include prayers to reclaim Liberia for Jesus, declare the Lordship of Jesus Christ of Liberia, to be climaxed by promises to claim God's promises for Liberia, pronounce God's decrees for Liberia, and pray for a mighty revival throughout the land.
The National Coordinator also said the praise and worship choir will sing from 12:00p.m.-2:00p.m., followed by prayers for world peace, stability and economic recovery in all nations, prayer against all arm conflicts in the world and for total healing, physical, spiritual, psychological and emotional.
The crusader will also pray after the praise and worship choruses at 4:00p.m.-6:00p.m., for deliverance of the children from bondage of sins and satan, for Spirit filled leaders, for efficient political system and good governance, against immorality, bribery and corruption in Liberia, against Sunday gambling and selling, for God's wisdom and courage for all world leaders at the UN and the OAU and against occultism in Liberia.
The praise and worship team will take the congregation from 10:00p.m.-12:00a.m. followed by prayers for the building of spiritual walls along the Liberian borders from earth to sky garrison, pronouncing the Holy Spirit fire upon every agent and activity, declaring them nonfunctional on Liberian territory, declaring Liberia freed from the Kingdom of darkness, the planting of churches and boldness in preaching the gospel amongst others.
The next 10 hours that follows, from 2:00p.m. to 12:00 midnight will also be devoted to singing and prayers of thanksgiving for answers to all of the basic prayers, while from 2:30p.m. -3:00p.m. will be rehearsal for the closing ceremonies which will take place at 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. on Sunday.
The authorities of the Crusade, in consonance with the Presidential proclamation declaring February 22-24 a Liberia For Jesus Day, appealed that all churches be closed on Sunday to allow every congregation to participating in the prayer Crusade at the SKD for that day's worship service.
