Nigeria: Lagos PDP: Guber Ambition Splits Sarumi's Group

Lagos — Indications emerging from the Great Primrose arm of the Lagos State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) led by the former Minister of Cooperation and Integration in Africa, Chief Dapo Sarumi, has shown that the group is sharply divided over the gubernatorial ambition of its leader, Sarumi.

According to an informed source within the group who spoke to THISDAY on condition of anonymity, the group had resolved that its leader should contest for a senatorial position and dump his governorship bid which he has repeatedly angled for but could not achieve.
