Nigeria: 'Changes in NPA for National Interest'

Lagos — Appointment of a new helmsman for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), as well as the choice of five other executive directors was for the sake of national interest, the Authority's Asst. General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Babatunde Sanni, has said.

Sanni who spoke to THISDAY on the telephone last night said that he believed that the appointment would go a long way in giving more strength to the Authority.

Describing the new Managing Director, Engr. Aminu Daboh, and the executive directors as tested hands, the image maker said he had no doubt that they would impact positively on the fortunes of the Authority.

He therefore called on the workers of the Authority and industry stakeholders to give the new team all the co-operation that they need, adding that only such a hand of fellowship extended to them would make them perform.
