Nigeria: New Deal for Police As Government Adopts IG's 8-Point Programme

Port Harcourt — There seems to be better days ahead for men of the Nigeria Police as the Inspector General, Mr. Tafa Balogun, announced that the Federal Government had adopted an eight programme he had perfected to boost the morale of officers and also reposition the force for better performance.

Mr. Balogun who gave the insight into the new deal in Port Harcourt yesterday said the programme will "boost the morale of the olice, sanitise the system, bridge the communication gap between the officers and the rank and file and generally move Nigeria Police forward."
