Nigeria: Abuja Signs Agreement With Canada

Katsina — The Federal Government has entered into a bilateral agreement with the government of Canada through its international development agency (CIDA) to support Nigeria in the area of community-based land management.

The Minister of Environment, Alhaji Kabir Sa'id, who disclosed this in Katsina at the weekend, added that government has also commenced discussion with a German firm, Hegan Engineering Company, for the establishment of 100 hectares of fruit plantation in one of the Northern states worst hit by desertification.
