Liberia: Political Party Decries Petroleum Monopoly

Monrovia — The opposition People's Democratic Party of Liberia (PDPL) has called for an open market regarding the importation of petroleum products on the country.

PDPL said it wants the Ministry of Commerce and the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) to introduce an "Emergency Petroleum-Pricing Policy" by increasing the number of petroleum importers to about 20 dealers or open the entire market and provide conditions under a free enterprise system.
