The World Bank suspended its financial support to the multi-billion shilling Kenya Urban Transport Infrastructure Project (Kutip) because a senior government official protested against interference with procurement matters by an official of the bank.
Kutip project manager, Eng Livingstone Maina Ngare, claimed in court papers filed yesterday in the High Court that the bank suspended its Sh8.9 million credit because he protested against Lance Morrel's interference with procurement matters in favour of his American friends.
