Lagos — The Ondo state government has been compelled to defer, until after the forthcoming council elections, its plan to create 47 additional local councils in the state.
Announcing the decision to defer the exercise in a radio/television broadcast to the people, governor Adebayo Adefarati said the postpnement was sequel to the current political tension in the country and the misconception of the whole idea by the people.
