Namibia: Robbery Convict Dies Before Testifying

A FORMER Namibian child exile who last week received an effective four-year jail term after pleading guilty to a charge of armed robbery has died, before he could fulfil his promise of testifying against his co-accused.

George Hangula passed away in the Katutura State Hospital on Monday afternoon, the spokesman of the Ministry of Prisons and Correctional Services, Ignatius Mainga, confirmed yesterday.
