Kenya: Children Cabinet to Sue Kwallah

Members of the recently disbanded Children's Cabinet will file a defamation suit against the Director of Children's Department, Mr S ole Kwallah.

The Vice-President of the Cabinet, Moses Mwangi, said Kwallah's recent outbursts specifically directed at him were biased, non-factual and meant to injure his character.

"Kwallah's accusations were biased and baseless. I'd like him to table proof of the accusations he levelled against me. His action was totally undiplomatic. I'm seeking legal redress," said Mwangi.

Last weekend, Kwallah dissolved the Children's Cabinet saying the advocacy outfit had become an embarrassment to the country. He said in a statement that in total disregard of protocol, the children had been writing letters to the presidents of Uganda and Tanzania seeking favours.
