Zambia: Chungu Faces Arrest for Money Laundering, Theft And Bribery

POST editor Fred M'membe yesterday complained against former Zambia Security Intelligence Services (ZSIS) Xavier Chungu to the police and urged them to arrest him for money laundering, theft of public funds, corruption and bribery.

In his complaint at Police headquarters in Lusaka, M'membe said he had decided to dispense with Chungu as a witness in the "Chiluba is a thief case" because he was also a thief. M'membe said he was arrested last year for defamation of president Chiluba as he then was together with journalist Bivan Saluseki and FDD member of parliament Edith Nawakwi and Dipak Patel for calling Chiluba a thief.
