Nigeria: Gen. Williams Joins Calls for State Police

A retired soldier, Major General Ishola Williams (rtd) has joined the advocates of the creation of states police in the country, and a thorough review of the 1999 Federal Constitution, which he berates for lack of minimum standards of any federal system.

He stated this at the weekend during a workshop organized by the Citizens' Forum for Constitutional Reform (CFCR) on contentious issues in the review of the 1999 constitution which held in Abuja.
