Sierra Leone: Why Britain Terminated BFBC

The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS), which has been transmitting in Sierra Leone for the past year, has ceased both radio and television transmissions to undertake a major modernizing broadcasting system.

The decision to terminate BFBS in Sierra Leone was taken by the Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom following the need to update the transmission, satellite and receiver systems Worldwide.
