South Africa: Man Killed Amid Accusations of Witchcraft

Durban — A 55-year-old man was decapitated at Ingwavuma in northern KwaZulu-Natal after he was accused of practising witchcraft, SABC radio news reported on Friday.

A group of about 25 heavily armed men abducted Petros Velaphi Thabethe from his home and took him to a nearby soccer field.

He was then stabbed and later beheaded by the mob. Twenty-five people between the ages of 14 and 30 were arrested and were expected appear in court on Monday.
