Lagos — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has concluded the verification of the 25 new political associations which recently applied for registration.
The commission's director of public affairs, Mr Segun Adeogun, said yesterday in Abuja, that the exercise was completed this Wednesday .
"The findings are now being processed by the commission and in no distant time, it will make its pronouncements on them," he said.
The new political associations being screened are African Revolution Movement (ARM), All Peoples Liberation Party (APLP), Better Nigeria Progressive Party (BNPP), National Mass Movement of Nigeria (NMMN), Liberation Democratic Party of Nigeria (LDPN) and Nigeria Advance Party (NAP).
Others are the Community Party of Nigeria (CPN), Democratic Alternative (DA), Justice Party (JP), Masses Movement of Nigeria (MMN), Movement for Democracy and Justice (MDJ), National Action Council (NAC), National Conscience Party(NCP) and National Reformation Party (NRP).
Others are New Democrats (ND), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Nigeria Peoples Congress (NPC), Party for Social Democracy (PSD), People's Emancipation Party (PEP), Peoples Mandate Party (PMP), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Peoples Salvation Party (PSP), Progressive Action Congress (PAC), The Green Party of Nigeria (GPN) and the Democratic Front for a Peoples Federation Party (DFPF).
