Amsterdam — Tunis is to host in 2003 the next congress of the Internet Corporation for Assignment of Names and Numbers (ICANN), it was announced on Sunday in Amsterdam.
This international organization in charge of coordination and management of addresses, domain names and internet protocols was set up in 1998 in San Diego (California).
The decision of this non-profit-making organization to choose Tunisia, among many candidate countries, to host its annual congress testifies to the consideration vowed to it for the progresses achieved in matters of internet and digital communication.
