Liberia: U.S. Ambassador Launches Peace Program Tomorrow

Monrovia — The U.S. Ambassador to Liberia, John W. Blaney III, will formally launch a five-year Community Peace-building and Development Program (CPDP) tomorrow. The press event will take place at 11 a.m. at the U.S. Embassy Public Affairs auditorium.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will fund the program. Three international non-governmental organizations, Academy for Educational Development, Search for Common Ground, and Mercy Crops, in collaboration with national NGOs, will serve as implementers.
