Asaba — Governorship aspirant on the platform of All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) in Delta state, Prince Ned Nwoko, yesterday declared that he was on course to clinching the party's nomination to contest the April 12 gubernatorial elections in the state. Nwoko, who gave the assurance in Abuja after a courtesy call on the new national chairman of ANPP, Chief Don Etiebet, assured his supporters that he would not fail in his resolve to win the election for the party and then chart a new course that will propel the state to new heights in socio-economic advancement.
He called on the people of the state to remain calm and law-abiding as the national leadership of the party has set up an appeal panel to look into complaints arising from the botched primaries and enjoined the party exco in the state to close ranks and work with sincerity of purpose to ensure that the ANPP triumphs in all the elections in the state. According to him, the report of the appeal panel has been sent to the Central Working Committee of the party but "there is nothing we can do until the committee's decisions are made public."
