South Africa: UIF Defaulters to Face Penalty

Pretoria — Less than ten percent of the nation's employers have complied with legislation and forwarded their employees' particulars to the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), according to a study released in Pretoria yesterday.

The study was conducted by the UIF to, amongst others, gauge the level of compliance since the inception of new UIF Act in April last year.
