Uganda: I Never Asked for Bribe, Says MP Kinobe

Kampala — Katikamu South MP and Movement caucus chairman Lt. James Kinobe yesterday vehemently denied soliciting for a sh4m bribe from Luweero chief administrative officer Mpiira Bigairwe.

Describing the allegations as "utter blackmail calculated to discredit my personality, committee, and the entire parliament," the local government accounts committee chairman asked the rules, privileges and discipline committee to dismiss them with "the contempt they deserved."
