Lagos — The next four months promise to be full of drama for Nigeria and Nigerians. There is the real fear of what the April elections have in store for us - both in its execution and in the calibre of individuals it will throw up as our next leaders. Judging by past experiences, the realisation of these sundry potentialities should be a mark of wisdom.

As it is, one of the most exciting game in town now is second guessing where the so-called Yoruba vote will go even though, at the same time, we are warned that Yoruba voters must be careful because the rest of the country are bound to vote against anyone they support. Then there are people who say the election of President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999 has shown that the Yoruba vote is not necessary to secure victory in any presidential election. Obasanjo won without any meaningful vote from the South-west.
