Lagos — About 2.7m Nigerians are reported to have tested positive and are living with the dreaded Acquired Immuned Defi-ciency Syndrome (AIDS), even as another 250,000 have died from full blown AIDS.
According to a report delivered by a medical expert, Dr Godwin Oluka, in a lecture entitled HIV/AIDS, Myths, Facts and Figures, delivered at a workshop organised by the Society of Persons Against early Life Termination and Promiscuity (SPAELT), in collaboration with the Ebonyi State Action Committee on AIDS, " HIV/AIDS has posed a major health and economic problems to the world and particularly African countries".
