ZAMBIA's rural areas remain unattractive and in some cases just frightening. Daily there are streams of people-youths and adults leaving villages trekking to towns and cities in search of livelihood.
Past efforts to try to entice dwellers to stay in rural settings have failed. Talk of rural reconstruction centres under the Zambian National Service (ZNS), not even the compulsory programmes for form V school leavers worked.
