Nigeria: ILO Calls for Review of Labour Laws

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Nigeria, has called on the organised private sector, Labour and government to begin a systematic review of labour legislations in the country, noting that this was long over due.

To this end, the ILO, Nigeria, is presently embarking on an enlightment programme in line with the its "Declaration on Fundamental Principles, rights at work and its follow-up." This is aimed at broadening the minds of stakeholders on labour issues as regard socio-economic negotiation.
