Kenya: Maritime Task Force Proposes 4 New Laws

Nairobi — Kenya's current marine pollution regime does not provide for enactment of many IMO conventions

KENYA'S TASK Force on the Review of Maritime Laws has proposed a new Bill to be known as the Maritime Authority Bill. The Bill, aimed at formally establishing a maritime authority in Kenya, is among the four recommendations the task force has presented to the government since its inception last February, says chairman Paul Musili Wambua.
