Ghana: National Security to Probe Fuel Stealing Syndicate - Minister Hints

Takoradi — The western regional minister, Hon. Joseph Boahen Aidoo, has dropped a hint that the national security network may conduct a big time investigation into the operations of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) to ascertain those who are behind the fuel stealing syndicate that is causing the nation to lose several billions of cedis in revenue.

According to him, ever since he broke the news on the arrest of a gang that were siphoning fuel free of charge from the Ghana Oil Company (GOIL) depot at Takoradi last weekend, he has received a lot of information regarding the secret deals going on at TOR where people are actually using dubious means to enrich themselves at the expense of the state.
