Liberia: YMCA Helps Refugees

Monrovia — As fighting intensifies in neighboring Ivory Coast, thousands of refugees an returnees continue to arrive in Liberia on a daily basis. These refugees and returnees are said to be in very poor condition and are faced with numerous problems including hunger and poor health.

The refugees who are predominantly women and children are from Mali, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Benin.
