Nigeria: Union Members Divided Over Suspended Strike

The strike proposed by the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) FCT branch to protest the alleged ill-treatment metted on them by the VIOs seems to be lingering as commuters are seen stranded on their way to work or out of the city.

Abuja Trust reporters, who shuttled via Gwagwalada road recently saw stranded commuters in motor parks and bustops with some lobbying private motorists for lifts while others are seen almost giving up on the work of the day.
