Johannesburg — IN THE past few weeks the University of the Witwatersrand has shown an uncharacteristic inclination for public self-criticism.
Much has been made of the fact that it aims to review its selection processes. This serves two important purposes for the inner circle that runs Wits. It reinforces the notion that I was a mistaken appointment, a flawed person who should have been spotted by their selection procedures.
