Ghana: Baah-Wiredu Defends Fuel Price Hikes

Agogo a/a — HON. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, says the Kufuor-led government took the right decision to increase fuel prices in order to save a monthly loss of ¢50 billion on fuel debt.

The nation could explode but for the timely intervention of the hikes. The minister said Ghana would be worse off without the increases.
