Nigeria: Fresh Ritual Killings in Owerri

Owerri — Ritual killers in Owerri, Imo State, appear undeterred by the recent high court judgement in the state, sentencing seven ritual suspects (alias 'Otokoto seven') to death by hanging. The judgement has also, assumed controversial dimension.

Apart from commensurate punishments to the culprits, the recent judgement delivered by an Owerri high court 5, sentencing seven accused ritual killers popularly called' Otokoto seven' to death by hanging was also meant to serve as deterrent to other ritualists in the state.
