South Africa: Sunday Times Buys Into Property

Johannesburg — South Africa's biggest circulating newspaper, the Sunday Times, will launch a new property section as part of its award-winning Lifestyle supplement. To be piloted in Johannesburg and Pretoria, it intends to provide agents and homeowners with a cost-effective, user-friendly guide for both sellers and prospective buyers.

"It's an area we haven't focused on sufficiently, especially considering that buying a house is probably the biggest investment our readers make in their lives," says general manager of new business development, Andrew Gill. He adds that, over the years, these readers have learned to trust the Sunday Times to keep them informed, so it's only natural that the paper should be there to advise and assist them during what can be a very confusing time.
