Zimbabwe: Soldiers Ransack MDC Official's House

HEAVILY armed soldiers last Friday allegedly ransacked and severely damaged Lucia Masekesa's house in Rujeko high density suburb claiming that they were looking for subversive material and dangerous weapons.

Masekesa is the provincial chairperson of the MDC Women's Assembly. The soldiers, armed with AK rifles, pounced on the house at around 8pm and smashed window panes and doors claiming that they were looking for dangerous weapons and subversive material. They searched the house and found nothing. Masekesa was not in the house.
